The Rev. Laura Westby

Consultant, Coordinator of Membership Care and Involvement

The Rev. Laura Westby has joined the CCB staff as a consultant to the pastors and church leaders as they consider revisions to the role of Coordinator of Membership Care and Involvement position. Laura, who is a member of CCB, has served ten different churches as either interim or settled pastor. In her most recent congregation she developed a model of pastoral caring that incorporated several lay caring ministries. Laura and her husband, Kie, were born and raised in Thomaston, CT. They currently live in Southbury.

The goal of Laura’s time with CCB is to re-focus the CMCI’s work on connecting and coordinating the congregation’s caring and welcoming ministries. Over the next few weeks she will be attending church gatherings and meetings to better familiarize herself with the congregation. She and Pastor Bryn will be seeking input from all of you, as well as leaders of our various caring and welcoming ministries (Deacons, Stephen Ministers, Fellowship & Welcome committees, Ushers, Greeters, etc.), about how we can both care for our members and get newcomers better involved.
