SYF WANTS YOU TO JOIN US!!  SYF (Senior Youth Fellowship) is a group of 9th-12th graders who meet regularly to build community, grow in faith, serve God and others in small mission projects and a week-long summer service project, and to have lots of FUN!  All youth in grades 9-12 are invited to join us on Sundays from 7:00 to  8:30 pm in Room 1 (unless otherwise noted on the schedule below).

Come join us for some time reaching out to one another and beyond the walls of our church as well – all while having fun and learning more about our faith! 

Sun., October 5^th = Letterboxing – 3-5:30 pm
      LETTERBOXING is a growing pastime – combining hiking & clues on a treasure hunt-type exploration of God’s creation.  Bring a bottle of water and wear comfortable hiking-type clothes.  (If you have a parent who might be able to help drive and wants to learn about letterboxing let Pastor Jen know.)  

Sun., October 12^th = Fair & FUN – 7-8:30 pm   ***
       We will be helping with some Yankee Fair preparation – moving furniture, making signs, etc. and then will play GA GA.   So be sure to bring your muscles, creativity and your GA GA socks!

Sat., October 18^th = YANKEE FAIR DAY!!!  ***
       The fair is from 9am-3 pm (with the barn opening at 8 am ).  If you haven’t found a place to volunteer and would like to, please speak with Pastor Jen.  Otherwise, bring your family and come on out for a great day of FUN and fellowship!

Sun., October 19^th = Regional Youth Event!!! – 5-8 pm
          We will meet at CCB to travel to New Fairfield where we will meet with other high school youth from area churches.  We will spend the night playing, getting to know other youth groups, and enjoying some time in worship & fellowship together.  Meet at CCB at 5 pm . 

Sun., October 26^th = All Church Game & Ice Cream Social – 5:30-7:30 pm ***
       We will be playing some life-sized games, taking some trivia challenges, and eating lots of ice cream.  Come ENJOY some time at church with us!  (This event is for people of all ages.)  We are hoping that some of our SYF folks will be willing to lead some of the games, so let Pastor Jen know if you will be coming.

 NOTE: The events marked with *** are events during which you can get some community service hours.  Please speak with Pastor Jen if you are interested in more information or need to have any paperwork signed.

NOTE:  Calendars will be printed in Crossways, mailed home, posted on the web page at www.uccb.org, and on the bulletin board outside the Youth Room in the CE wing.
