Where we are…
Considering a Capital Campaign

How We Got Here…

-Setting Goals for a 5 year plan 2000-2002
-During Program Board discussions in 2000-2002, dreams and visions for our church were shared. Church Council formed a committee to further consider these ideas and to set goals.

-The Future Foresight Task Force was formed in October 2002. Members included Peter Wiley, Sue Latourette, Alan Peck, Bev Robertson, Barbara Anderson, Larry Ruschmeyer, Al Miller and Jeremy Hutchinson.

-They established the Mission Statement that would guide their discussion. Each project must enhance our congregation’s ability to move forward, “As a community of Faith, seeking to follow Jesus and live the great commandment.”

- 4 focus areas were established.
-Identity- These projects would help us define ourselves as Christians, and clarify our identity so we could embrace it.

-Connections and Fellowship for all- This area focused on looking for ways to keep the church connected with new and old members, and to our community.

-World Wide Mission Connection- This area would seek ways to have our local actions have far reaching impact.

-Facilities- This discussion included all properties. Maintaining our buildings and assets, better utilization of space, and possible growth options were all considered.

The Future Foresight Task Force presented their report at the Annual Meeting April, 2003.
